Sylvia Lueck, RN
Sylvia Lueck was nominated by Emergency Department & CCU Manager, Amy Groff. Sylvia has an unwavering advocacy for patient dignity and care. Her patients often describe her as being kind, compassionate, and taking the time to make them feel important.
She collaborates with others to make sure that her patients have the resources they need for discharge or transfer, often staying over her shift to make sure things go smoothly. She has timely communication skills, often sharing her concerns with others and attempting to rectify situations herself.
Recently, she has picked up multiple house supervisor night shifts. As a supervisor, she works side by side with her colleagues in all nursing departments and makes herself readily available. She encourages teamwork and often jumps in to help. She has been described as an excellent team player and is a great resource for the newer nurses.
