Professor Springer actively provides us with a well-rounded clinical experience that I haven't received from any other instructor. She took us around the hospital, introducing, and educating us about experiences that many students do not get to experience. We learned about oral care, trach maintenance, wound care, etc. Many of my classmates tell me they haven't done many of the interventions that Professor Springer had taught me, so I know that the education I received is truly invaluable.

Throughout my time learning from her, it was very evident how dedicated she was to nursing and caring for her patients. She encountered a patient who struggled to speak and quickly performed oral care. Later that day, he was struggling to speak again and she taught us how to take care of the patient along the way. Sylvia never hesitated, her only goal was to help the patient.
