We just wanted to give the highest praise possible to the staff and team leadership on T6. First off, you were incredible to us and will never be forgotten! They really need to hear what an outstanding group has been assembled on T6.
We have had the misfortune over the years of spending 70 nights combined on hospital floors. We have had some great individual care and some not so great. The care team ACROSS THE BOARD on T6 was OUTSTANDING from the charge/unit managers, RNs, PCTs, Students, IV team, and EVS. Whoever is hiring for this unit has incredible, RARE, elite skills. Not one employee during the whole stay was impolite, grumpy, too busy, too tired, or acted outside the team environment. In fact, no one complained about their jobs, their life, or management, VERY VERY RARE!
I personally know nursing staff excellence. I retired after 35 years as a medical device salesman which included all BAYCARE facilities. Although most of my focus was on the OR, many products such as postoperative blood re-infusion and postoperative pain management went from the OR to the nursing units. I’ve given thousands of in-services to floor staff. I know greatness when I see it. Please know how much we appreciate your facility from top to bottom. They made the best out of a very trying circumstance.
Lastly, we would like to give a big thank you for Dr. Dacobo’s surgical skills and Dr. Goldberg for his correct opinions. Emma and Lauren were excellent to deal with as well.
We would also like to give a shout-out to hospitalists Dr. Hernandez and Dr. Allen.
THANK YOU! We’re safely home but will never forget the great care of your group.
