Tabitha is an exceptional nurse who went above and beyond to ensure my safety, comfort, and well-being during one of the most vulnerable times in my life. Her care, professionalism, and compassion were nothing short of extraordinary.

As a woman of a certain age, and specifically as a Black woman, I had serious concerns about my health, particularly given the alarming statistics surrounding Black maternal outcomes. The thought of becoming just another statistic was deeply troubling. From the moment I met  Tabitha, however, she put my mind at ease. She took the time to listen to my concerns and answered every question thoroughly. I felt heard, understood, and truly cared for in a way that made me feel safe in her hands.

Nurse Tabitha’s attentiveness was remarkable. She was responsive, always there when I needed her, and never rushed in her explanations. Despite not having children of her own, she connected with me on a deeply personal level. She respected my boundaries as a patient but also made me feel that she genuinely cared for me as a person, not just someone in a hospital bed. Her balance of professionalism and personal connection made me feel empowered and in control of my care.

During my labor, she supported me every step of the way, helping me stick to my birth plan and ensuring my wishes were honored. Even when an emergency C-section became necessary, Tabitha was right by my side, holding my hand, easing my fears, and listening to my concerns. Her calm presence during such a stressful time gave me comfort I will never forget.

Even after my discharge, when I was readmitted for postpartum preeclampsia, she came to visit me as soon as she heard I had returned, even though I was no longer on her caseload. That gesture alone speaks volumes about her dedication to her patients.

Tabitha's professionalism, warmth, and genuine care not only helped me through a difficult time but also left a lasting impression. She has an innate ability to make her patients feel valued, seen, and heard. Her care goes far beyond the call of duty, and it is clear she has a deep passion for nursing and for advocating for her patients’ well-being.
