Professor Nolen is not only a great nurse but also a genuine and caring person. She makes an effort to personally get to know her students, and supports us in any way she can. I had her as my professor for Pathophysiology last semester, she always made lecture something to look forward to by making learning exciting. Every time I didn’t understand a topic, she made it a point to meet with me and explain it in a way I understood. This semester, she is my clinical instructor, and I get to see her genuinely care about each patient and make sure we all know how to do it in the best way possible. Outside of class and clinical, she goes above and beyond to make sure I feel confident in what I’m doing and reassures me that I am doing well. She has created a safe and comfortable learning environment where I (and others) are able to come to her with our questions and concerns. She definitely serves as my personal role model, and she continues to inspire and support me every day.

Mrs. Nolen is constantly working with us to push us towards success and is always reassuring us that we are doing a good job and meeting the expectations required. She takes the time to walk us through things so that we are prepared and don’t feel overwhelmed.
