Tafia is an amazing nurse who today did something very special for me. I was here recently with severe intestinal issues. Once home the vomiting began again and I came back. Tafia has been super informative, patient, caring, and consistently professional. I got completely scared today after speaking with my surgeon. I was afraid they would send me home again, before my body could tolerate the oral antibiotics. Until this conversation I'd been making consistent progress, I felt depressed, anxious, and I couldn't get back to being grateful. Tafia took one look at me when she came in for a routine check. I told her everything, I was in complete breakdown mode. Tafia explained everything. She assured and reassured me that what happened last time would absolutely not happen this time. She explained that they would start me on the orals and watch me here, in safety to be sure my body will tolerate the antibiotics. She iterated that I would not just be thrown out there.
She held my hand and her sincere energy healed my anxiety. I was circling the drain emotionally; she gave me a real hug. This was a 5 or 6 minute conversation that for me was magic. I can't thank BHCS for employing this particular human being. She's amazing and deserves thanks.
