She did this for all children without discrimination, giving each one the feeling that they were the most important, as if she carried all our hearts in her hands.
Tahani was not just a nurse performing her duty; she was an angel of mercy. From the very first day, she treated me with rare tenderness, accompanying me as a mother would her sick child. She cleaned my wounds with amazing care, starting by washing her hands and putting on gloves, then carefully inspecting the surgical site.
She gently wiped the area, observing even the smallest details: the color of the skin, the warmth of the wound, any smell, and even my reactions to touch. Then she applied the ointment carefully and wrapped the dressing with touches resembling those of a mother soothing her child after crying. Tahani didn’t only care for me in the hospital; she also contacted my mother outside of work to check on me, asking about my temperature, my sleep, and my mood.
She did this for all children without discrimination, giving each one the feeling that they were the most important, as if she carried all our hearts in her hands. Her kindness was not fleeting. It was deep, making me feel safe even in the most difficult moments. Her words, smile, and gaze came before any medicine. She calmed my heart before treating my body.
