My daughter chose DMH to have her first child. She was apprehensive and gets anxious. Tai came in for the evening shift and immediately made us feel comfortable. She took the time to make a personal connection with my daughter in a way that no one else on the unit did. That immediately set a tone of calm and trust for my daughter every time she knocked on the door and said, "It's me."
Tai explained everything clearly and patiently answered all of our questions. Tai followed through with everything she told us she would do. Tai not only focused on my daughter, but she made sure that her husband and I had what we needed. She supported us all. Tai went the extra mile in compassion, advocate caregiver, and listener. Tai never acted rushed, and when she was in the room, we felt like we were all that mattered. She honored the family time while being supportive. She carried that connection with my daughter throughout her hospital stay by taking the time to check on her.
Tai's care made our challenging delivery a positive experience. She eased our emotional burden. Tai is a role model of your core values that I watched on the computer's screen saver.
