My husband of 25 years had been admitted from the ER. His defibrillator had gone off three times, and they came in and told us his heart was only working at 10%. To say the least, we were devastated, and I began to cry when Talia came in to check on him. She saw me and came and gave me a hug that I needed so badly. She gave me some information that made me feel better and talked to both of us, making us laugh. Throughout the day, she continued providing excellent care, but she spent extra time with us, ensuring we were okay and explaining things. It was exactly what we needed at a time that was so difficult. There were so many people who took such good care of us, but she stood out above the rest. Her bedside manners should be applauded. Talia has a beautiful spirit, and she was a blessing to us. We think God sent her at just the right time. We will never forget the kindness and compassion she had taken with us. That's why we think she deserves this award.
