From the moment Tam entered the room, she displayed exceptional nursing skills but also a profound sense of empathy and kindness. Tam patiently explained every part of care, ensuring that we understood the purpose of each test and intervention. Her ability to communicate complex medical information with clarity and compassion brought a sense of calm and reassurance to a deeply distressing situation. 

Throughout this process, Tam was also mentoring a nursing student. She used this opportunity to exemplify the importance of compassionate care, empathy, and professionalism can profoundly impact patients and their families. 

While all the nurses in the emergency room and ICU provided excellent care, Tam stood out for her genuine empathy, gentle touch, and unwavering commitment to treating my family member with dignity. Her kind words and thoughtful gestures left a lasting impression on our family, even in our time of grief. 

Tam embodies everything the DAISY Award represents – extraordinary skill, kindness, and a commitment to excellence in nursing. Her care during this heart-wrenching time will never be forgotten, and I am deeply grateful for her dedication to her patients and their families.
