Tamara had a patient that delivered a baby and the father of the baby was not supposed to know she had the baby. He found out and came up to the hospital. He started harassing the patient and Tamara called security and the Marietta Police dept. A restraining order was placed against the father of the baby. Tamara found out that the patient and her 1 year old had been evicted from their apartment because her ex-husband was not paying child support and the mother had been staying in the car. The patient was going to live with her mother after discharge.

Tamara got WHSS (women's health specialty service) department involved and was able to obtain a new car seat for the infant. She also brought a brand new car seat for the one year old because the car seat she had was in two car accidents. While she was buying the car seat, she also bought the mother a gift card so she could buy things she needed for the baby. Tamara had WHSS deliver the car seat & gift card to the mom and told them to say it was a donation. Tamara was so touched by this patient and went above and beyond to help her out.
