A patient who was a threat to herself was attempting to run out of the emergency department. Security and numerous staff had gathered around and were attempting to stop the patient from leaving. The scene was chaotic with the agitated woman yelling. Tam calmly strolled over and separated the patient from the growing crowd. Within minutes she had the women calmed down and back in her room resting comfortably. Tam's demeanor, experience and ability to interact with patients and families in a meaningful way is unparalleled by even the most experienced healthcare providers. Tam is a consummate professional, an incredibly talented nurse and above all a true leader. Her leadership style, passion for healthcare and talent as a nurse is inspiring to be around.
