I was so touched that Tamara delayed getting home on time so that she could personally take me downstairs.
While I was in the hospital, I was very depressed about my diagnosis. Tamara came into my room and showed such positivity and true concern for me. She spoke with such laughter in their voice and you can tell that it was very genuine. It was such a pick-me-up! Tamara asked what she could do that would help make me feel better and all I wanted to do was shower; she made it happen!
Tamara got the order from the doctor and took time out of their day to help me into the shower and stayed with me to make sure I was safe. I have been coming to Sinai since 1967 and I am always impressed with my care but she just made such an impact on my stay. My husband loved them too! When Tamara left the room my husband looked at me and said, "You like her, don't you?" It helped him feel at ease knowing that I was being well taken care of.
I was extremely impressed with Tamara during my discharge. Tamara came in with my paperwork which was highlighted with all of the most important things that Tamara did not want me to forget. Tamara sat with me, took their time, and made sure I understood what to do at home. They put in for me to get a wheelchair to go downstairs to meet my ride and they seemed to be a little backed up.
On Tamara's way out, she passed by my room with her backpack on, ready to go, and told me to wait right there. She came back with a wheelchair and said "I'm leaving and so are you!" Tamara wheeled me down to the lobby to meet my husband and got me safely into the car. I wanted to give Tamara a hug but knew that I was a little unsteady on my feet and didn't want to chance to fall, but I was so touched that Tamara delayed getting home on time so that she could personally take me downstairs. Tamara was fantastic and I know that if she treated me with such kindness and compassion, she treats all of their patients like this.
