I noticed Tamara's bedside manner since the first day we worked together. Her compassion towards patients is undeniable. I asked Tamara to help me reposition a patient. After repositioning the patient, Tamara noticed that he was having difficulty sleeping. He appeared very uncomfortable. Tamara stood by the bedside, held his hand, rubbed his head, and spoke softly to him. The patient looked at her once and then dropped off to sleep. It was so moving to witness this interaction and see the connection and caring she showed to a patient who was not even assigned to her care. Tamara's exceptional bedside manner and professionalism toward the veteran make her a true DAISY Nurse.
