While in PACU waiting for a bed I started having a reaction to blood thinners totally unknown to others and myself. When Tamatha Watson was performing her assessment, she lifted the covers and discovered a ruptured artery from my procedure. She called the Doctor and started the proper protocol. She not only gave guidance but followed and considered all input. I mean this with total respect, she’s a beast! After I was stable the Doctor passed through and asked who the hero was. She replied, “just doing my job sir”. She was also congratulated by staff and stated it was a team effort which may be true but not from my point of view. She was alert, focused, and unwavering. Her professionalism and humbleness should be shared with coworkers, family and the community. Thank you Tamatha.
