I have never seen anyone with such passion and dedication. Tameka listens patiently to questions and answers with patience. She is friendly, personable, and compassionate. She is extremely supportive of the staff. Hard-working, she thinks, acknowledges, and executes and resolves any issues that arise. She recognizes and awards the staff with emotional support and positive attitude/energy. The camaraderie and morale in this unit are amazing, we are blessed to have this leadership team. She is the most well-rounded person I know. She juggles work, school, and 2 children. She is also becoming a SANE RN helping rape victims. As our manager, she is the most approachable person who one can confide in. She is very knowledgeable and fair to all her staff. She doesn't hesitate to jump right in and help the staff whether it be to put an IV in or move a bed. She is truly an amazing person.

She displays great leadership toward her staff. She truly cares about every single one of her staff members. She always promotes teamwork and is so kind to everyone. She truly goes out of her way to say hello and ask how your day is going. If a problem arises you can always count on her to help you and stay on top of it. Tameka is a DAISY Nurse Leader due to her exceptional leadership skills and compassion for her employees and for the patients in the PACU. She goes out of her way to ensure patients are receiving optimal care and her employees have all the resources they need to provide optimal care. She has gone above and beyond as our manager. She handles issues with fairness making her staff feel supported. We all know how much she cares and appreciates our hard work. She is a wonderful spirit. She has made out work environment in PACU so light, refreshing, and better to work in. We love working for her and it gives us the incentive to work harder for our patients. She has gone out of our way to make every single employee feel loved and appreciated. She puts a positive spin on every challenge and supports her staff unconditionally. She shows compassion and respect to everyone on her team and works tirelessly to ensure her staff and patients' needs are met. She greatly improved staff satisfaction at work. She goes above and beyond for her unit and fulfills her duties with such grace and competence. She always goes above and beyond for her staff in PACU and we appreciate her dearly!! She organizes events and staff appreciation potlucks to show her compassion for her unit. She truly embodies the Northwell values :) A wonderful example of what a leader should be. She sets the bar high.
There is nothing she wouldn't do for a patient and their family. It is a privilege to work with her on her team. She is kind, caring, and a great example of a leader!
