While I was away from the hospital preparing for Hospice to deliver a bed, Tami talked with my husband. She took time to explain what hospice was all about and reassure him that everything would be taken care of. She assured him that he or I did not have to worry.
Tami's positive attitude and willingness to tease him and connect with his ornery side has made his stay so very much more pleasant. His mental health as well as physical needs were taken care of. The only time I saw him smile in 10 days was when Tami was interacting with him.
She was also a lifesaver to me - by her reassurance and a big hug that was needed so greatly.
I thank God for wonderful people like Tami. Mercy is very fortunate to have a compassionate professional like Tami.
