Tami is simply an extraordinary nurse. She cares for a variety of patients with complex cardiovascular diseases. Tami is focused not only on the patient but on their family as well and goes out of her way to ensure their updated on their loved one's condition. Tami has a wealth of knowledge and demonstrates clinical expertise daily. She is a mentor, preceptor and educator actively seeking to advance her practice while sharing learning with her co-workers. Tami seeks out best practices and educational experiences to improve care. This is exemplified by her outstanding teaching ability, motivation to be involved in multiple projects and committees.

Tami is an exemplary RN who critically thinks, anticipates the next steps during complex and challenging cases thus she is focused on providing her patient's safe, compassionate care with excellent outcomes. Tami is an incredible team player, role models team concept and a positive work environment. Tami is collaborative and partners with everyone to make certain the patient's needs are met. Tami's true compassion for people, kind and giving heart and easy going nature is the cornerstone of what makes her such an amazing nurse. Tami is well liked and respected by her team, cath lab leadership and our physicians. She makes a difference in the lives of those she cares for.

Recently she was doing a Tilt procedure on an outpatient named K. K wrote in to the executive leadership team wanting to recognize Tami for the exceptional care she received. During the procedure K's blood pressure and heart rate dropped causing her to lose consciousness. Tami completed the procedure, and when K awoke, Tami was by her side. K asked please don't leave me and Tami stayed caring for her and told the patient she would never leave her. K told our leadership team in a very emotional voice about the care Tami provided stating, "Tami saved her life, she was so protective. K stated we have something special in Tami." K also stated, "Tami took such good care of me and made me feel very safe."
