Tami met a patient who had come in after a MVA. The patient was also a victim of domestic abuse. The patient had issues with a wire in her hair and it hurt every time she tried to remove it. Tami called her salon and requested that one of the beauticians come to the hospital to give the patient a haircut to remove the wire. Tami paid the salon fee out of her own pocket and bought the patient a special hairbrush to make her new style more manageable. The patient was extremely touched that Tami would show such kindness to her.
This is the epitome of "above and beyond", but is what we have come to expect from Tami as she so often demonstrates this level of caring and commitment.
