She was nominated by a parent of a child on 2JCP who wrote of Tamika:
After recent surgery, my son developed difficulty breathing. I went to the nurses station on 2JCP for help and Tamika Miller came to the room just as he stopped breathing and his heart stopped beating. She immediately started CPR on my son and called for help. By the time the PICU team arrived, Tamika had gotten him breathing and his heart beating again. Tamika saved my son’s life and she will forever be an angel in my eyes.. I’m so glad nurses listen to parents. Tamika brought my son back to us, to his friends, and most of all – to his twin sister. He continues to amaze the world. Thank you to Tamika and the rest of the nurses for what you do.
