During my stay at Mercy Hospital recovering from Diverticulitis surgery, I expressed my concerns about my quality of life for the near and distant future to Tamika. She was my nurse on several occasions and each time she was able to make me feel good to great about the quality of life I'd be able to live by, relating to me her own experience dealing with a loved one that had gone through a similar situation. I'm unsure if she could detect that I was downtrodden about this, yet Tamika's encouragement, light/bright-hearted approach and genuine concern about how I felt, lifted my spirits, my heart, my mind, my beliefs and eased my concerns. In other words, Tamika made me feel and believe that everything will be alright in my world and that sooner or later I would have no major concerns about my wellbeing. Which I thought was great and made me feel fantastic. She also made my daughter feel fantastic about it as well and basically alleviated her concerns and lifted her spirits too. Tamika Sandifer's compassion and understanding will always be remembered.
