This nurse can sense when a patient needs to talk or needs emotional support. When I first came to the hospital, I had no intention of finding out about my cancer, testing, or treatment options. I had completely given up. She spoke with me and encouraged me to find out what was going on, so I would know what I was up against. I was terrified, but she gave me the courage. She has continued to help me through some very hard days. I miss her when she is away. If it weren’t for her encouragement, I wouldn't have gone through the testing. She has sat on the end of my bed numerous times, listening and allowing me to feel what I needed to feel at the time. She is truly a remarkable nurse.
