Tammy exemplifies the servant leader model. She served in the U.S. Army for 14 years prior to becoming a nurse in 2006. Tammy has been with BSW-Sunnyvale since 2010. She came to help open and develop our cardiac step-down unit. Tammy is an individual who never says no or "that is not my job". Tammy assists with moderate sedation for cath lab and radiology. She also functions effectively as a house supervisor, manager and a mentor for new leaders. Tammy does not hesitate to jump in staffing or help out when ICU is full. She's dependable and always full of energy. Her position here is super demanding and busy yet she still finds time to volunteer at her church, feed the homeless, assist with prison ministry and works with the youth program at her church.
