On day 46 we met Tammy. We can't say enough about her professionalism, kindness, and caring. My husband was extremely sick when he came back to ICU. Tammy's mind was always thinking of creative ways to help with his comfort. She assisted my husband like no one else had. Two days in a row, she cleaned up after him; he hadn't had a movement in 30 days. She told the doctor that he needed additional help on the 2nd day. Although it was bad, Tammy was kind and caring. Not once did she make him feel embarrassed for something that made him feel so helpless. I cry thinking about the many times Tammy would not leave the room until every single comfort was met, whether it was positioning, covering him, or making sure he had the remote to call for help (he can't talk). Tammy caught a lot of flak and jokes for how she always gave 110% for my husband. I would say she was a Godsend. No one else would have taken the time for him. Tammy is a strong, kind, caring, and professional nurse. People could take lessons from her. Her extraordinary dedication to my husband will never be forgotten. She is an absolute asset to this hospital. God bless you, Tammy. Thanks for all you did for my husband and me.
