Tammy was the one constant pillar of strength we could always count on to help and guide us through whatever challenge we were facing at the time.
1. Tammy's unwavering commitment to teamwork and excellence in patient care is unmatched. While we were all in the trenches dealing with COVID this year, Tammy was the one constant pillar of strength we could always count on to help and guide us through whatever challenge we were facing at the time. Tammy always provides that calm, but assured strength that one hopes for in their leaders, especially in the face of adversity. No matter how daunting the task was, knowing that Tammy was there to lead us was always comforting and gave us confidence that we could face the challenge at hand.
2. Tammy is the poster nurse for professional, compassionate, calm during the storm, team playing, SMART, intuitive nurse. Most days she leads the charge over the units, bringing that sense of calm and orderly in a world that is never calm. Her can do attitude rolls over to all who work beside her. She brings out the best in her team mates. She is resourceful and will make the impossible, possible. I shared a back story about one of our service pts yesterday with her and she understood immediately the sense of concern and relevance of the story. I know she will share that with the entire team so that ALL involved will bring empathy to the table so that this patient WILL have an extraordinary experience to offset her last horrid healthcare experience! You just can't teach that level of amazing but she sure blazes the trail for her team to follow!!
3. It is so hard to describe a specific situation because there have been so many. That being said I can say that with all the changes with the onset of COVID-19, Tammy has continued to be a true leader. There was so much going on when COVID-19 really hit and our census was at a high, she was there whenever we needed her, leading us and making us all feel comfortable even when at times we were uncomfortable or unsure. Tammy keeps a positive attitude even in difficult situations and aspires myself and I am sure others to also be positive. From the time I started working here, 2 yrs ago, Tammy has always acted as a true leader. With COVID-19, her leadership really shined through. Tammy leads with a very positive attitude. She never hesitates to step in when needed and truly aspires me to become a leader like her and just to remain calm and in control not matter what's going on.
