My grandma had fallen Christmas weekend and fractured her femur. She had to have surgery on Christmas Eve and was sent up to the 3200 Unit shortly after surgery. As soon as my family and I arrived at her room, we were immediately greeted by her nurse. We have never felt so welcomed and loved by any other nurse. She made a terrible weekend not so terrible. She represented UPMC core values by showing dignity, respect, compassion, and patience to my 76 year old grandmother. She happily responded to our needs in a timely manner. My grandmother felt so loved and safe under her care. My family thanks you from the bottom of our heart for the care you provided to our loved one. You were meant to be a nurse and there is no doubt you are touching the lives of many. UPMC should be so thankful to have a nurse like you in this world, don't ever change!
