Tammy spent just one shift caring for a patient, but the impact she made was amazing. Tammy really "connected" with the patient and used her nursing skills to develop individualized and creative care strategies that helped the patient and family communicate. Her approach was also successful in helping the patient understand and participate in the multidisciplinary plan of care. The patient's husband said, "Tammy has a genuine care for the patient and will do all she can to help the patient and the family. I will be forever thankful for the one day she was in our lives."
