Ms. Doebler provides excellent mental health nursing care to the veterans of northern Arkansas who receive services at the Mountain Home Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBC). This CBOC, which is in the county which historically has the highest suicide rate in the state, has seen a significant change recently, and Ms. Doebler's excellent interpersonal skills have helped the mental health team continue to function at a very high level of expertise. Ms. Doebler exemplifies the VA's I CARE values as described by a Veteran who wrote of his experiences with Ms. Doeber's care. The following are excerpts from his letter as they demonstrate the I CARE values:

Integrity: Nurse Doebler puts care and dedication into her job and it clearly is shown in the manner in which she helped me. She was certainly professional, attentive, and kindhearted in her interactions with me. She demonstrated extreme compassion when dealing with very difficult issues that have deeply affected me. And, above all, she has always treated me with kindness.

Commitment: Her compassion, expertise, professionalism, and the remarkable level of care she has provided me for almost three years.

Advocacy: Nurse Doebler provided exceptional care to help me cope with significant life issues and my service-connected disabilities. She was always truly concerned about issues that affected my life, especially my life's work of rescuing and rehabilitating cats (and my affection for cats).

Respect: Most importantly, Nurse Doebler knows me as a person (not just the "last 4"). She understands my feelings, emotions, and mental health stability when I talk about my life/cats and their extraordinary impact on my mental health.

Excellence: Nurse Doebler possesses the talents of a registered nurse that every hospital would like to have on staff but can seldom find. The Central Arkansas Veterans HealthCare System is extremely lucky to have such a magnificent nurse on their staff.
