While other caregivers were capable, Tammy stood out because she showed such care and concern for me as a patient. She provided timely and detailed information about treatment, results, doctors' reports, and the hospital routine. I know she had many other patients to attend to, but she never seemed rushed or too busy to answer my questions or get ice water, coffee, or a blanket to keep me warm. I heard her briefing the next shift's nurse about me and she was thorough, accurate, and very professional. I learned a little about her and she learned a little about me during the shifts she was my nurse. Her warm and genuine nature put me at ease during the stress of dealing with my injured hands.
