November 2013 Honoree
tammy hall, RN
Tammy is very compassionate towards our patients. Specifically, if a patient is referred to Hospice, Tammy sits down with the family and patient and explains all aspects of Hospice care and how beneficial it would be for not only the patient but the family as well. She also takes time to write sympathy cards to the family of a patient who dies.
Tammy also shows compassion and concern toward fellow employees. One example is when an employee had a panic attack, Tammy helped her through the attack by speaking calmly and staying with her until a family member could be reached.
All here at the Cancer Center agree that Tammy is deserving of the DAISY Award because of her sincere compassion and concern for our patients, as well as our co-workers.
