I had my baby girl. That day, I had nurse Tammy on shift to take over. I was already having a really bad day. I told Tammy I really liked her name and that my cousin’s name was also Tammy. I told her I was not feeling well and in a lot of pain. I thought it was because I had an epidural in my back. I was so wrong. Early that morning I had my epidural taken out and I did not feel anything. I showered and called Tammy letting her know the pain was unbearable. I started to have contractions and my water broke and my baby's head was out. Tammy took action and called for backup. Knowing she had the experience, she was doing everything to get my baby to cry. She saved my baby and deserves this award. God Bless.
