When leaving work one evening, I planned to stop by the psych unit to visit my granddaughter. I felt a stabbing pain in my knee but knew I really needed to see my granddaughter. She has been through a lot in her life and I have always been there for her. I hobbled onto the unit to see her but was unable to leave on my own due to the pain in my knee. The visiting hours and safety rules for the unit are very strict so I could not just sit in the unit waiting on someone to come help me. I was almost in tears wondering what to do when you came to help me. I am so thankful that you did. You got me a wheelchair and found someone to wheel me out to my car. I would not have been able to get to my car without your help. I can't tell you how much I appreciate you.

I later went to the doctor and found that I had totally blown out my knee. I will be forever grateful for all your help and I just cannot tell you how much I appreciate all your efforts. I believe that you did all this to help me out of the compassion and concern that you have. For this reason, I believe that you deserve to be recognized. Thank you!
