Tammy McGraw was nominated for her attentiveness to a pediatric patient. The mother of the child complimented Tammy on her above and beyond attitude and her demeanor that allowed her son to have complete comfort while hospitalized. She brought the child coloring books, crayons and stickers. She explained things to him in a way he could understand and colored his bandages with “smelly” markers. Tammy made the mother comfortable by bringing her scrubs to wear and allowing the mother to use her own personal toiletries during her stay. The mother states “(The child) felt more comfortable with her than he did with me”.
