My husband was admitted to the hospital through the ER late on a Tuesday night. His nurse on Wednesday morning was Tammy, and what a blessing she was. We were very fortunate to have Tammy as our nurse three days in a row!

My husband was in extreme, debilitating pain. Literally every time he moved, he was crying out in pain. Tammy's compassion revealed itself very quickly. Her main concern and focus was making my husband comfortable and doing whatever she could to ease that pain. Of course, the doctor prescribed certain pain meds and muscle relaxers to treat my husband's pain.

Tammy showed professionalism in letting the doctor know what was helping and what was not helping. But early Thursday morning, Tammy had found the best pain med and muscle relaxer combination to ease the pain enough to allow my husband to rest. She was so determined to find that right combination. She was not going to give up. She also made sure he received his meds in a timely manner, allowing the pain not to become uncontrollable again.

Tammy was one of the sweetest, kindest, and most compassionate nurses we have ever had. She always had a smile on her face. She never minded answering any of our questions and never made us feel like a bother. My husband and I said that Tammy could have easily been a friend we could cookout with. I say this to show how Tammy made those three days more comfortable by just being who she is. She is a kind, sweet, compassionate, thoughtful, and patient nurse.
