November 2020 Honoree
tammy rojo, RN
Two hours after a busy shift Tammy Rojo was on the unit charting. One of her patients wasn't doing well and was expected to pass during the night. Tammy wanted to make sure the patient's wife was at the bedside during the end of his life. The patient's wife expressed that she didn't have a ride to the hospital and couldn't see to drive at night so she wouldn't be able to come. Tammy went above and beyond after she got off from her shift to drive to pick up the patient's wife and bring her to the hospital so she could be at the bedside with her husband.
It warms my heart to know that she cares about her patients and their families even when she is off the clock and way past her shift. Her compassion and dedication to her patients means more than words could ever express.

Thank you, Tammy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
