Tammy Stewart went above and beyond for me and showed great compassion for me and my situation. I had been in a severe amount of pain in my lower back; at this point, this had been going on for over a month, and the pain was off the charts, so timing for relief was of the utmost importance. My insurance denied my injection even though I have had these injections in the past, so appealing was needed and we all know that could take a month or two, time I didn't have or want to bear.

Tammy took it upon herself to talk to the doctor and do a peer-to-peer with my insurance the very next day; that’s impressive. In less than 24 hours, my injection was approved- wow! That was a very big hurdle, so now I had 2 1/2 more weeks to get through to get to my injection. I took a big deep breath and told myself, "I can do this. I got it."

A day later, Tammy called me and got me an appointment due to a cancellation, and it was in 5 days. Unreal. This is the kind of compassion that comes from an awesome person, not to mention an awesome nurse. She understood my situation and the amount of pain I was in, and she cared. You can say, “Oh, that’s her job.” I say, no, that’s going above and beyond. Too easily she could have let the process take place, and I would be in a lot of pain for months; however, I’m feeling much better as we speak.
