My daughter-in-law has been in and out of Angel Medical for several months. Tammy has cared for her for many days. She shows love and compassion each time she works with my loved one. She takes caring one step further. She is a great nurse.

A few months ago, I brought my Mom to the ER. Once she was seen by a doctor, she was moved to the 2nd floor and was there for about a week due to pneumonia. Nurse Tammy Stingone was my moms's Florence Nightingale. She exceeded all of our expectations. Not only was she my mom's Florence Nightingale, she was mine too.
Tammy was also very aware of Mom's hearing issue, as she wears hearing aids. Tammy automatically recognized this and spoke clearly and in a very friendly manner, so Mom could hear and understand everything. She made me and Mom laugh and made us feel very safe and that all would be well. She communicated with other nurses about my Mom and did that in my Mom's room with me. This made me and Mom feel very comfortable. We could tell that all nurses, through the leadership and love of Tammy, would care for my Mom in a consistent manner. As a result of Tammy's compassion, professionalism, expert knowledge and her Florence Nightingale heart, I highly recommend Tammy be selected as the best DAISY nurse in this [Western] side of North Carolina! Tammy is such a personal nurse. She changed the bad situation into a tolerable event and has turned into a very good friend. She is spot-on when it's time for meds and always brings them in with a big smile. She just has a glow about her job. If every hospital had a hundred nurses like Tammy, this world would be a great place.
