Tamra Weimer is the 2011 DAISY Faculty Award winner for Southwestern Oklahoma State University School of Nursing. Tamra was selected through a survey of last year?s nursing graduates who are now working as registered nurses. These RNs were asked to reflect back on their nursing program and select the faculty member who demonstrated the DAISY Faculty Award qualities such as care and compassion, an environment where students could freely express opinions and ideas, a personal interest in student learning, and who collaborated with the healthcare team to facilitate student learning in the patient care environment.
