Taneya is so thoughtful, especially with our patients who have children. We have a mama on our unit who recently delivered a beautiful baby boy. Unfortunately she suffered serious complications, so although her son is doing well, she has remained in the hospital with us. Taneya went downstairs and purchased a pacifier with a cute stuffy attached and delivered it to Grandma and Baby in the patient's room. Being postpartum is hard enough, especially going through complications and a prolonged stay, so this small act of kindness meant the world to our patient and their growing family!

Additionally, we have a patient on a hold who has three kids at home. Today is the first day of school, and all she wanted was to hear their voice and pass along some words of encouragement. The patient had not been granted phone privileges yet, so Taneya called her kids and passed along their message outside of the room on speaker so she could be assured they heard from her. This small act is incredible!
