Tania LaPadula, BSN, RN

Tania is one of the most dedicated nurses I have ever met. When a recurrent patient had difficulty navigating his medical and living expenses, Tania stayed with this patient for 2.5 hours yesterday to help him sort through months' worth of documents. This patient was without electricity, which she stayed on the phone with the energy company for over an hour to get his lights turned back on. She even helped him make an appointment with his dentist to manage his dental issues, which were impacting his life significantly. Despite her very demanding role as clinical lead, Tania booked a second visit today and again spent a great deal of time on care coordination, juggling the patient, insurance, social worker, providers, and the patient's worried emergency contact because she wanted someone to look after this man. I have never seen such effort to improve someone's quality of life than the kindness showed by this nurse.
