Tanja had put a self-made card with a photo of T next to his bed and at the same time brought me the message that T was much calmer after my nightly visit.

After a normal and uncomplicated birth, our son, unfortunately, had to be transferred to the children's intensive care unit the first night. He had contracted an infection at birth and had slight pauses in breathing! That was a shock for us as parents, also the sight the next morning when you see your little darling with an oxygen mask and what feels like 1000 cables connected to the equipment!!! In this situation, you just function and try to be strong!!! Even if you know that he was in the BEST HANDS! Every nurse on ward B2 who took care of our son deserved a nomination!!! They were all so great! But it was a night I won't forget. At 11 p.m. I went to T again to bring the pumped milk over. I was just there for an examination and was allowed to look over the shoulder of the doctor and nurse Tanja Tröster. It was such a beautiful and calming time to be able to be so close to my son at this moment. The atmosphere was so unique, indescribable!! The next morning I was sooooooo positively surprised that tears came to my eyes!!! Nurse Tanja Tröster had put a self-made card with a photo of T next to his bed and at the same time brought me the message that T was much calmer after my nightly visit and (the best news for me) needed less oxygen!! This beautiful gesture gave me immense strength and I will definitely never forget it!!!
