On this day, LT Spinaio was instrumental in the execution of life-saving measures for this child.
LT Spinaio is an exceptional nurse, leader, and mentor. During a challenging patient experience, he was the first to arrive on the scene for a pediatric code, immediately took over the patient's airway, monitoring vital signs, and communicating with the team. He closed the loop with all the members of the code response team, provided a handoff to the EMS, and drafted the SBAR notes for the transport.

LT Tanner Spinaio is probably the most caring nurse I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Even when he is at his busiest with various administrative duties, he is always available and on the lookout to be the best nurse possible for our patients. I remember once when he saw someone over 100 feet away in the hallway and started to look faint and ready to collapse. He dropped the stack of folders he was carrying and ran over to help the patient. He has an intuitive mind and is always looking out for our many patients. For always being the most compassionate caring nurse, LT Tanner Spinaio has my nomination firmly for the DASIY Award.

LT Spinaio is very efficient for someone who wears multiple hats throughout the clinic. I admire his strength, dedication, and exceptional work ethic. As a corpsman, I aspire to be as multifaceted as him someday.
