January 2025 Honoree
Tanwa Lawal, RN
My nurse was phenomenal from the moment. This nurse was smiling and provided a healing environment. They were constantly fixing broken things that they did not break. This nurse took on huge, mountainous problems after problems both coming onto shift and going off shift. I asked if there was a way to reward this nurse for my gratitude toward them before I go home to Richmond Hill, GA. It takes forever to get into a provider, much less a rheumatologist. I would trust any of my family to be in this nurse’s care. I rarely seek out help through the hospital for care regarding my Lupus; however, the struggle has been ridiculous to get through, and I needed as much help as this nurse was. This nurse is a beautiful, uplifting person who aspires to be better at what they do every day. If only we could have more nurses and staff, just a few more nurses, just like this nurse. Imagine the vast improvement to the healthcare industry.
Thank you, Tanwa, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
