On this particular day my department, along with a few others, were made aware of a family member who comes to Monument Health to visit his wife. He has a routine, but sometimes forgets that he's already been to see her. Sometimes he will forget multiple times in the same day. Tanya Larive took initiative, compassion, sincere kindness, a passionate, and very caring and trustworthy approach to helping this family member. Tanya would continuously come out of her area to let him know his wife was safe, doing ok, and sleeping. She would make phone calls to where his wife was. Ultimately, Tanya wrote him a reassuring note that he's visited his wife a number of times, that the staff saw him come in to see her, and that she's ok and sleeping now. The note instructed him to come in at 7:30 am to see her again. Tanya gave it to him and explained it. He made a few jokes and left. She let me know she had to do this with her father when he had similar circumstances. It was a beautiful moment to see, and it made me so proud to work alongside her.
