I was already nervous and upset due to the surgery and not being able to have anyone there. When I came to, I was sore, depressed, and just wanted to cry. I remember Tanya coming in often to see what I needed, sometimes apologizing for "hovering" as she called it. I was irritated not because of her but because I was nauseous, wanted my fiancé with me, and was loopy from anesthesia. I had never met her, and she was like a friend taking care of me. She went above and beyond in my opinion and these days people just don't do that. She made me feel like someone was there for me and I never had to worry about anything.
