April 2026 Honoree
Taqwa Pope, RN
If you ever have the privilege of meeting Nurse Taqwa, you’ll quickly realize that she is more than just a healthcare professional — she is a force of resilience, compassion, and quiet strength. Life has tested Taqwa in ways many might not endure. Yet no matter what personal storms she faces, she arrives at work with a calm smile, steady hands, and a heart wide enough to carry the burdens of others. She doesn’t just show up — she excels. Her work ethic is unmatched, her clinical skills razor-sharp, and her empathy endless. Patients feel safe in her care, and colleagues feel supported in her presence. I know for sure I do. For any questions I have, she always has the answer or helps me find it. Taqwa treats every patient as if they were family. She remembers the small details, advocates fiercely, and listens with genuine care. You’ll often find her staying late, picking up shifts to the OR when we are short or have call-outs. Also going out of her way to help a struggling teammate. She doesn’t ask for recognition, but she certainly deserves it. Her passion for nursing is not just a profession — it’s her calling. And she answers that call every single day, with grace, grit, and an unwavering dedication that inspires everyone around her. In a world that can sometimes feel cold and rushed, Nurse Taqwa is a warm light — steady, kind, and unforgettable.
Thank you, Taqwa, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
