Tara Brown 2024, BSN, RN

Tara Brown was caring for a homeless patient who came in with wet clothes on and needed a shower. Tara offered her patient a shower and then took her to one of the in-patient units for the shower. Tara then found clean, dry clothes for the patient from case management and the clothes closet. The patient was crying in the shower while expressing her gratitude multiple times to Tara. Tara also provided the patient with some food before she left the ED.

Tara is an amazing nurse at all times. However, she really went above and beyond for this patient. She demonstrated such compassion and kindness, treating not only her medical needs (back pain) but also her physical and emotional needs. Way to go, Tara!
