Every day is an opportunity for her to make a difference in someone’s life, in the eyes of Tara, which is what makes her such an incredible clinician and woman!
Congratulations, Tara. You are the recipient of the DAISY Award for the month of May 2025! We are proud to recognize our nurses with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses, an international program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence our nurses bring to their patients. Here is the story that was shared by your recruiter, Eric Olano.

“In celebration of Nurses Week, I wanted to take a minute to highlight a conversation I had with a colleague of mine at Orlando Health Brookwood Baptist.

Tara Donnelly is an ICU RN coming up on 20 years of experience. What stands out about Tara is her infectious personality, dedication to the highest quality of care, and eagerness to educate younger nurses.

During our Check-in, Tara and I were discussing her plans for the future. She had previously indicated that she was seeking a staff position where she could focus on education. As of this week, that opportunity has not presented itself, and Tara will be extending for an additional 13 weeks. I asked Tara to begin the extension discussion with her manager, and a few days later, she sent me a screenshot of their conversation. I have attached this screenshot, along with an exchange of texts that I had with her right after. This displays her professionalism, work ethic, passion, and impact on the facility. I hope we can keep Tara with Prolink forever, but I know there will come an opportunity for her to step away from traveling and follow her heart of educating other nurses – so let’s celebrate her while we can!

Tara understands how important proper education is to uphold the highest standard of nursing care. She routinely goes above and beyond to stay past her scheduled hours to ensure proper transition of patient assignment and willingly steps in as charge RN. She uses her 20 years of experience with the highest acuity of patients to sharpen her skills and collaborate with new graduate nurses to make them feel confident in their care. She sets a positive example as a traveler, as if she had been a staff nurse there for her whole career.

Tara has always radiated positivity and pours that energy into her patients and her colleagues. Every day is an opportunity for her to make a difference in someone’s life, in the eyes of Tara, which is what makes her such an incredible clinician and woman!”
