Tara went above and beyond. She saved a family member's life. We had a patient whose father was visiting. She noticed the father was not looking too good or feeling well. Tara's great nursing skills began to kick in as she realized that the patient's father was exhibiting signs of a Myocardial Infarction. She encouraged him to go to the Emergency Room, but he was insistent on not going. Tara continued to encourage the family member, and eventually, he went to the Emergency Room, and was admitted to ICU and required emergency heart surgery.
