November 2017 Honoree
tara harpold, RN, BSN
Over the summer I was contacted by a nurse by the name of Tara. She was so helpful in answering all my questions and any concerns I had that day. She even took the time out of her day to listen to me about my grandchildren. We went over all the needed steps for the surgery the next morning, which at that time made me feel at ease. My husband and I arrived at the outpatient surgery center and to my knowledge what a blessing she was the nurse who called my name. I didn't know it was her at the time but, as soon as she opened the door she said, "I spoke to you yesterday", it was just such a great comfort because I didn't have to repeat myself over and over on my prescriptions or surgery I had been through. She helped me explain to the doctor some of my meds. Before surgery, she made sure I was comfortable, warm, and that my pain was going to be taken care of as soon as the doctor would okay it. They made sure to keep my husband updated. After surgery, I opened my eyes and to my surprise, there was Tara with a warm blanket and making sure that I was not in any pain. It takes a very hard working, kindhearted person to do a job like this. Thank you, keep up the excellent job.
Thank you, Tara, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
